In the blog, I will share the adventures, the struggles, the recipes and the amazing products I discover on this imperfect journey. My mission here is to be honest, share my story, hear about yours, and every day strive to be better, stronger, full of gratitude and kindness. I hope you will join me, engage with me and share your story too.
But first, a little background. I began this journey in 2015 when I left my corporate job seeking my real purpose. I was working long hours, missing out on too much life, and not enjoying the work at all. When I left I wasn't sure what was next. I was having conversations with friends about all of the health issues in our country, thinking about how to feed our three sons more real food. We started shopping farmers markets, meeting the passionate people behind the businesses, and knew this was the way to go. I discovered Paleo and lost 30 pounds. I was hooked. I knew I had found my mission.
We started with a catering company, creating recipes, branding and enjoying the journey of meeting other people out there doing what they love. We felt passionate about the fact that in 2015, there were hardly any healthy catering options out there at all! Paleo was just beginning to trend back then. But I was feeling better than ever and wanted everyone to know - This is how we should be living!
We started making gluten free and paleo granola and selling at farmer's market's. Our catering business grew. We found some of the amazing clients we still serve today: Miami University, Mayerson Foundation, Metro Parks of Butler County and more. We went through the small business incubator Mortar and learned so much.
Before we knew it, the Mayerson Foundation offered us an opportunity to apply for the kiosk that was occupied by Servati's inside the Scripp's building. We opened there in September, 2017, a dream come true!
The journey continues. I have been struggling staying true to the amazing ways that got me here. I intend to use the blog to re-engage with a more strict paleo life. In the meantime, can't wait to share my favorite recipes, cookbooks, adventures and a new journey with m Functional Health Certification.
You will see a lot of these faces in the blog. They are my world, and the first reason I wanted to embark on this entrepreneurial life. You will also see the faces of the amazing Paleolicious team. They make it all possible and I am thankful for them everyday!
Much love and gratitude,
